When we invest in something – an idea, community, product, or cause – we get much more out of it than when we don’t.
That’s because in a good transaction, the money we pay for something enables the seller to give us something of greater value in return.
A good investment returns an exponential gain.
An investment is also a statement of what we care about, what we value, and what we believe will help us accomplish our goals.
With that in mind, I invite you to join my monthly membership program and become one of THE INVESTED!
THE INVESTED is a special group within the For The Interested community who get access to exclusive content and opportunities not available anywhere else.
You’ll receive that content through a twice-monthly email.
I’ve got a bunch more cool stuff in the works and members of THE INVESTED community will always get special access and bonus material with anything I create.
I’m as invested in you as you are in me.

SAMPLE OF AN INVESTED EMAIL
We live in a world with infinite information at our fingertips which means knowledge is no longer the competitive advantage it once was.
But what is a competitive advantage is our ability to discover, process and filter information in ways that serve our needs and those of our business or art.
I launched For The Interested for two reasons: To help others discover actionable information that can impact their life and to give myself a weekly reason to hone my own abilities to discover, process, and filter this kind of information.
You don’t have to start a newsletter like I did to do this.
But it’s worth considering how you can incorporate the development of these skills into your weekly routine – it will benefit you in ways you can’t even imagine.
Now, here’s a look at the latest ideas for THE INVESTED…
How to make better decisions by getting used to saying you’re wrong.
A step-by-step guide to get the most out of your Facebook ads from somebody who spent $3 million learning from them.
How to live a life that works using the Charlie Munger operating system.
Why it’s important to develop the skill of giving up.
The reason why people turn to shopping when they’re sad or stressed.
Why 99% of meetings are a waste of time.
Why somebody who has been a self-employed, independent creator for 10 years recommends not choosing it as a career path.
PODCAST: Mitch Joel’s interview with Jeff Goins about the difference between starving and thriving artists.
VIDEO: Josh Fechter’s hour-long talk about building community and influence.
TV: The new FX series Snowfall is created by Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton and details the emergence and impact of cocaine in 1980’s Los Angeles.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES AT FTI
This section of THE INVESTED email is where I’ll pull back the curtain and give you a look at how I develop For The Interested as it happens.
So, let me explain why I launched this subscription program in the first place.
There are two reasons I’m doing this.
First – and this is always the most important in my book – I believe it provides genuine value to my audience. There are a ton of ideas I don’t have room for in the newsletter each week, and I know others can learn from them.
The other reason I launched this is to monetize For The Interested in a way that provides additional value and doesn’t detract from the product.
I don’t believe in advertising or sponsorship – it interrupts readers and worsens the reader experience.
Yes, creating THE INVESTED email every couple weeks will be additional work for me, but I believe it’s worth it and hope The Interested will find it more than worth their $5 a month.
Thanks for your interest.
