Five Ideas For The Interested This Week - For The Interested

Five Ideas For The Interested This Week

Ten years ago, this was my profile picture.

I blogged anonymously and rarely posted on social media.

It took years to get comfortable putting myself out there.

But the more comfortable I become, the more value it unlocks.

If you’re not there yet, don’t worry.

It takes time.

Now, on to this week’s ideas…

1. Don’t Build An Audience — Connect To One

“The fastest way to grow your audience is to connect to a community.”

This might change the way you approach growing your audience.

I break down why the fastest way to grow your audience is to connect to a community and how to do so.

This includes ways to find and connect to a community where your audience is already hanging out and how to start a community yourself to attract your ideal audience.

2. 17 Questions That May Change Your Life

“Reality is largely negotiable.”

Sometimes all it takes to change your life is to ask yourself the right questions.

Tim Ferriss suggests 17 questions that may change your life inspired by the questions that changed his.

They include, “What if I did the opposite for 48 hours?,” “If I could only work two hours per week on my business, what would I do?,” and “What if I could only subtract to solve problems?”

3. How To Manage A “Crazy Busy” Life

“You can be as busy as an emergency department without feeling like you’re crazy busy.”

Darria Long is an emergency room doctor who never knows what kind of stressful, pressure-filled situation is going to walk through the door for her to deal with.

In this 11-minute video she shares what she’s learned about how to manage a crazy busy life and shows how you can apply emergency room tactics to make your “crazy busy” work more manageable.

4. A Step-By-Step Roadmap To Building Wealth

“There’s a difference between working for a better wage and truly building wealth.”

No matter whether you’re an entrepreneur, employee, or creator, you’ll find this helpful.

Nathan Barry outlines what he calls the “ladders of wealth creation” and offers a step-by-step roadmap to building wealth.

With examples from his own journey, he breaks down how to go from trading time for money, to building a service business, to launching productized services, to selling products.

5. Everything You Need To Know About How To Use Instagram

“Sticking to just one topic is absolutely essential.”

I’m not going to lie — this one is a LONG read, but it’s also got a table of contents that makes it easy to jump to whatever topic interests you most.

Isaac Marketing Help breaks down everything you need to know about how to use Instagram including tips on how to use hashtags, edit photos, incorporate Instagram into your larger marketing strategy, and make money on the platform.

My Final Words Of The Week

I’ve got a client who feels paralyzed at the moment.

She’s had some remarkable recent success and suddenly millions of people have discovered her and her creations.

But with that attention has come a bit of criticism, as the work she shares with the world are actually getting seen by the world.

The whole thing has freaked her out a bit which is why she feels paralyzed.

But I don’t think she’s paralyzed. I think it’s quite the opposite.

Her feelings are understandable, but they’re actually the result of progress — not paralysis.

When we make progress, things change. And change is scary.

It can freak you out.

If you’re not making progress, nothing changes, and you’ve got nothing to be scared about.

Sometimes the difference between progress and paralysis is just a matter of perspective.

Have a great week.

Josh
