I was recently interviewed on a podcast (see link #10 below) and in the process stumbled on some new ideas.
That’s not a new phenomenon.
Because no matter how much time we spend thinking or writing, something different that happens when we speak.
So the next time you’re stuck or searching for a new idea, here’s a simple solution: Talk about it.
You never know what you’ll discover.

“Make something specific for someone specific.”
It’s not enough to just make something great — you’ve also got to create demand for the great thing you made.
In this post I suggest five ways to increase demand for what you do including to make your products, services, or creations simpler, more relevant, and more unique.

Never underestimate the power of a good question.
The questions range from how meaningful is your work, to what tasks should you stop doing and what questions are you not asking yourself.

No matter how pure your intentions, the advice you give people likely doesn’t land as well as it could.
Scientific American breaks down research that reveals common mistakes advice-givers make and explains how to give better advice.
The tips include to better understand the perspective of the person you’re advising before giving them advice, avoid giving advice you don’t follow yourself, and don’t pitch the benefits of something without acknowledging its costs as well.

Writer AJ Jacobs has made a career of conducting interesting life experiments and his latest is a clever one.
In this 12-minute TED Talk video, he explains what he learned from thanking every person responsible for his morning coffee.
He wound up thanking more than 1,000 people and learning quite a lot about our interconnected world in the process.
“Trust is one of the most overlooked marketing tactics because it takes time. By showing up consistently in someone’s inbox and delivering them thoughtful content you will build trust.”
