5 Ideas For The Interested This Week

I’ve started a secret project related to this newsletter and could use your help.

If you’ve got 30 seconds to spare, I’d love to hear your thoughts on these three questions.

Thanks.

Now, on to this week’s ideas…

1. The Twitter Tips Collection

“A collection of links to Twitter tips to help you figure out what to tweet, get more followers, and get more value out of the platform.”

This is a useful one.

I’ve compiled every article I’ve written that features Twitter advice along with all the tips I’ve shared from experts in my newsletter over the years into this one Twitter Tips Collection page.

I guarantee you’ll find tons of helpful stuff in it if you’re a Twitter user.

Speaking of which, you can also connect with me on Twitter here.

2. The Eight Secrets To A Fulfilled Life

“There will always be too much to do — and this realisation is liberating.”

This is a collection of life advice, but it’s also applicable to your work and art.

Oliver Burkeman shares eight secrets to a fulfilled life including that the advice you don’t want to hear is usually the advice you need, selflessness is overrated, and the capacity to tolerate minor discomfort is a superpower.

Btw, I found this article in Austin Kleon’s newsletter.

3. How I Grow My Newsletters

“When it comes to newsletters, they’re not going to grow overnight. It just takes time.”

I was recently interviewed on Simon Owens’ Business of Content podcast and we had a great conversation that covered how I grew my For The Interested newsletter, how I approach my This Is How I Do It newsletter, and a discussion of the broader newsletter space as a whole.

You can read an article summary of it here, watch/listen to it on YouTube here, or find it on your favorite podcast platform.

4. How To Create An Amazing About Page In Four Steps

“Your About page is often the most-visited page on your entire website.”

Want some free advice from a woman who gets paid thousands of dollars to write About pages for companies?

Neville Medhora and Marian Schembari break down how to create an amazing About page in four steps including to realize your About page’s job is to steer your visitor somewhere and to incorporate the six key elements every About page should feature.

5. How To Create A Simple Personal Podcast

“More people should have personal podcasts. 20 episodes, 5 minutes each.”

Something about this concept resonated with me and the idea has been stuck in my head all week.

David Perell makes the case for launching a podcast and explains how to create a simple personal podcast that features no ads or fluff and showcases a specific aspect of your worldview in each episode.

I just might have to try it one of these days.

This Is How I Tweet At Least Five Times A Day

In a recent issue of my This Is How I Do It newsletter, I shared an in-depth breakdown of the system I use to post at least five tweets a day and how it’s helped me attract 11,000+ followers on Twitter.

For the first time, I’m making that single issue of the newsletter available for just $10 if you want to check it out.

You can get it here.

My Final Words Of The Week

Sari Azout is a person you should know.

She writes a great newsletter which I often link to and highly recommend you check out.

Plus, she just published a presentation on what she’s learned from writing a newsletter that’s a quick read and includes a unique take on the paid newsletter space I haven’t heard elsewhere before.

Have a great week.
